Friends of Lindenwald

About Us

A non-profit organization whose purpose is to stimulate interest in the history of Martin Van Buren, 8th President of the United States, the politician and farmer, the preservation of his home Lindenwald and to generate a sustained appreciation of the rich heritage and history. The Non-profit works to: Advance the preservation of Lindenwald by acquiring artifacts associated with Van Buren. Provide scholarships to exceptional local high school students interested in local history. Support local Youth Development Programs in cooperation with the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site and cooperate with local community groups to bring a variety of activities and programs to the historic site.
