The Light In Our Eyes: Youth Visions of the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse (ONGOING: October 4, 2024 thru October 20, 2024)

Art and Poetry exhibit at the Athens Cultural Center in collaboration with the Coxsackie-Athens High School, Hudson City School District Junior and Senior High and Catskill Central High School. The exhibit opening will be open to the public during the Athens Cultural Center’s First Fridays series on the first Friday in October (October 4 @5:30 pm) and will feature performance artist, Joseph Smith, performing the Life of Augustin Fresnel, who pioneered the use of “stepped” lenses to extend the visibility of lighthouses, saving countless lives at sea.
