The Hudson Area Library is hosting its second annual Free Community Clothing Swap on Saturday, July 13th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Community Room. The event provides an opportunity for people of all ages to exchange gently used clothing items in a friendly, sustainable way.
Attendees are encouraged to bring clean, gently-used baby, children, and adult clothing, shoes, and accessories that they no longer need. Everything left at the end of the swap will be donated. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a free raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
"The Community Clothing Swap promotes resource sharing and helps reduce textile waste," said William Blowers, President of the Friends of the Hudson Area Library. "It's a fun, environmentally-friendly way for people to update their wardrobes without spending money."
The swap is free and open to everyone in the community. No registration is required – just show up with your items and/or come to pick up some new-to-you clothes.
This annual event is made possible through funding from the Bank of Greene County and volunteer support from the Friends of the Hudson Area Library.
The Hudson Area Library is located at 51 North 5th Street. For more information, email the Friends of the Hudson Area Library at friends@hudsonarealibrary.org.
